We played with different styles of tie dye from snail spirals to 'holy' tie dye and even diagonal stripes. We added glitter slogans with positive messages to complete the designs.
We had a nice variety of 100% cotton deadstock in white and ecru with tonal polka dot repeat prints. I kept the shapes easy and functional using basic pyjamas shapes and a pretty nightdress with pico edge trim. This was our first collection by Gen Woo, before we had an office, before we employed any staff. I was working from home and very much still finding my way around the constraints of using deadstock. Trying to get uniformity in a collection while maintaining your zero waste brand values is extremely hard. Most excess stock i had was under 80kg meaning you can only make a small quantity and one style with it.
